What better way to kick off the holiday weekend than with mounds of steamed shrimp seasoned with Old Bay seasoning? It's a tradition in our home and it's so simple and satisfying.
To cook the shrimp, fill a large pot with about 1-inch of water, place the steamer over the water (water should not be above the steamer holes). Lay shell-on shrimp in a steamer basket, season with as much seasoning as you like (we like a lot), cover and steam the shrimp for about 3-5 minutes or until pink and firm.
We love to dip the shrimp into spicy cocktail sauce. Combine ketchup with Kelchner's horseradish - our favorite because it has an authentic horseradish zing! Serve shrimp with sauce and extra Old Bay seasoning. Enjoy and happy holiday weekend!
