Oh, What Fun! Wine-Free Hostess Gift Ideas

I was walking with a friend the other day and we got to talking about thoughtful hostess gifts. We shared what we typically give when we are invited to holiday parties and any holiday occasions that include Secret Santa gifts. She likes to give funny cocktail napkins, long matches if the host has a fireplace and beautifully packaged liquid hand soap. For the hostess who loves food and entertaining, here is a list of gifts I love to give.

KITCHEN TOWELS -- My favorite are flour sack dish towels because they dry so thoroughly.

SPREADERS -- Everyone can use extra spreaders, chose one that you know your host will love.
COCKTAIL NAPKINS -- A useful gift and there are so many festive and fun napkins to choose from.
OVEN MITTS -- Who doesn't need new oven mitts?
HERB AND VEGETABLE GARDEN MARKERS -- I especially like giving garden markers that have been re-purposed. Some are made from spoons (wooden and metal) stones and wine corks.
LIQUID KITCHEN SOAP -- There are so many lovely eco-friendly soaps available and in so many natural scents.
SOY-BASED OR BEESWAX CANDLES -- They're better for you and the environment than the traditional wax candles.
REUSABLE PRODUCE BAGS -- I prefer bags made from fabric. When they're soiled, I just throw them in the washer!
FOOD THEMED CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS -- This is one of my favorite gifts to receive. It's a simple and affordable gift.
KITCHEN TIMER -- A useful and affordable gift with so many fun choices.
HOMEMADE FOOD GIFTS -- Another one of my favorite gifts to receive. Could there be anything more appreciated than the gift of something homemade? Cookies, bark, truffles, candy, brittle, biscotti, bread, seasoned nuts, jams and granola make lovely hostess gifts.
